TREASURES OF NEW YORK

Brit Blanco-Bird and Robert Bird are the masterminds behind Treasures of New York City—the luxury vintage shop that’s just as wacky, welcoming, and authentic as its owners. The couple began selling second-hand on EBay in 2012 as a side-hustle to their uber-corporate careers, [sometimes even listing clothes for co-workers] slinging early 2000s Coach and Juicy Couture. Eventually, Bird’s knack for dreaming up big ideas and Blanco-Bird’s talent for implementing them led to the birth of Treasures in 2017.

Treasures offers an alternative way to experience luxury fashion. In other words, there’s nothing “stuffy” about the couple’s curation. Instead, Bird and Blanco-Bird have created a brand that values craft, story-telling, and high-fashion without elements of exclusivity and preciousness. There’s humor and light-heartedness in what they do—Treasure’s Instagram features witty content like a Fendi Baguette Bag emerging from the oven like a fresh loaf of bread or a leopard print Dior Saddle Bag nestled next to Friskies cat food at the bodega. The couple encourages its customers to treasure their pieces however best fits their lifestyle—stored safely in a dust bag or slung over their shoulder with an iced coffee, Jane Birkin style. However you wear your vintage, Treasures is here for it.
