Sleek and eternal. A wardrobe isn’t complete  without the perfect pair of Black Pants. Across all decades you can seek out different silhouettes and find the one that’s just for you.

From as far back as antique-1930s you’ll find menswear-style pleated trousers, high waisted wide legs and dramatic palazzo pants from the 1940s and 1950s, 1960s capris or 1970s bootcuts and flares, 1980s skinny leg and stirrup pants or avantgarde paper bag pants, to a classic, minimalist slim leg from the 1990s- early 2000s. Take your pick or a few!

Brands to look for:  Ann Demeulemeester, Calvin Klein, Céline, Comme Des Garçons, Dries Van Noten, DKNY, Gucci, Jil Sander, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Yohji Yamamoto. 

Key decades: Antique- 2000s

Fabrics: Natural fibres such as cotton, wool or silk for comfort or for a sleek 90s look nylon, viscose and polyester blends. 

Colors: Black
